Alfred Iloreta, MD

Alfred Marc Iloreta is an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology and Director of Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, completed his internship and residency in Head and Neck Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center and a fellowship in Skull Base Surgery and Rhinology at Thomas Jefferson University.
Dr. Iloreta is the Director of Research for the Division of Rhinology and is the Primary Investigator for over 10 clinical trials. He has a specific interest and experience for disruptive healthcare technology and has run multiple clinical trials employing patient engagement applications, augmented reality and virtual reality technology.
He is also heavily involved in international health outreach and participates in yearly international medical missions. He is co-founder of Sustainable Surgery, a group devoted to providing both surgical care to international patients as well as teaching advanced surgical techniques to surgeons abroad.
