Liesl Oldstone, PhD
AppliedVR

Dr. Liesl Oldstone is Vice President, Health Economics and Market Access for AppliedVR. In this pivotal position, she leads an accomplished team in developing and communicating evidence of the clinical and economic benefits of using Immersive Therapeutics (VRx) in the treatment of chronic pain. This effort ensures the benefits of non-pharmacologic treatments like VRx are clearly understood by payors, policymakers, governments and physicians. The beneficial byproduct of this function is the development of coding, coverage and payment policies, thus allowing more patients to have access to VRx programs in their care pathway. Liesl also teaches a course in the economics of new technology at UCSD in San Diego.

Liesl has accrued more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including serving in roles as Vice President, Global Market Access, Reimbursement and Government Affairs for ResMed; VP, US Health Services at Bristol-Myers Squibb; VP, Global Healthcare Economics, Policy & Reimbursement at Covidien; VP, Healthcare Economics and Reimbursement at Cordis (a Johnson & Johnson Company); and Director, US Outcomes Research at Eli Lilly and Company. She began her career as a pharmacist and holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pharmaceutical and Health Outcomes Sciences, a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
