Dr. Asheen
Rama is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology,
Perioperative, and Pain Medicine at Stanford University and specializes in
pediatric anesthesiology. He completed his residency at UC San Diego followed
by a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Since completing an additional fellowship in medical simulation at Stanford in
2019, his focus has been on developing an innovative simulation program at
Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. Dr. Rama has special interests in quality
improvement, innovation, and medical humanities. His current research has been
in the use of immersive technologies in medical simulation and he works with
the Stanford Chariot Program to leverage immersive technologies including
augmented reality for medical education.
