Julia A. Scott, Ph.D. is the director of the Brain and Memory Care Lab at Santa Clara University. Dr. Scott’s research program leverages external partnerships in healthcare to develop projects at the intersection of cognitive neuroscience, non-invasive neurotechnology, and immersive technologies. She serves as lead of the medical council for XRSI, which advocates for and develops data privacy and safety standards in emerging technologies. She received her training in neuroscience at the University of California campuses (Davis, San Diego, and San Francisco) and has published widely on normal and abnormal neurodevelopment, as well as brain aging.
