Dr. Yee Hui Yeo is a third-year fellow in the Karsh Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (CSMC). He has published more than 120 peer-reviewed publications in Nature Review Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Lancet Gastroenterology and Hepatology, JAMA Internal Medicine, Journal of Hepatology, Gastroenterology, Annals of Internal Medicine, Gut, among others, with more than 6200 citations (H index 34). He served as an editorial board member for BMC Gastroenterology. His research goal is to determine the natural history and transform care for chronic liver disease. Dr. Yeo's research is primarily focused on leveraging cutting-edge technologies, including user-centered, evidence-based approaches, biostatistics, and advanced computing models, to improve patient care and outcomes, with a special emphasis on chronic liver and gastrointestinal tract diseases. He is a presenter at national and international conferences. His research abstract was selected as “Best of the Liver Meeting” in 2018. He was awarded posters of distinction at DDW and top posters at the EASL meeting multiple times. He is the recipient of the "Emerging Liver Scholar Award" in 2019 and the Vinay Sundaram Trainee Research Award in Hepatology. He was awarded the AASLD Abstract Award at DDW and his research was selected to the debrief of the AASLD Liver Meeting 2024. Some of his publications were incorporated into medical practice guidelines. His works have been featured by major media outlets such as TIME magazine, Newsweek, ScienceDaily, MedPage Today, and Washington Times, among others.
