Jordan Miller, PhD

During his 15+ year career at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Miller directed an NIH-funded research laboratory focused on the identification of druggable targets in age-associated cardiovascular diseases, served as the inaugural director of the Center for Surgical Innovation, and served an 8-year term as Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery. Some of Dr. Miller’s contributions to science include defining the role of soluble guanylate cyclase in age-associated cardiovascular diseases, advancement of a drug toward Phase 3 trials for a first-in-class treatment for aortic valve stenosis, co-development of novel surgical lighting solutions in operating rooms, and execution of trials that assess the utility of technologies to improve the surgical experience and surgical outcomes. Dr. Miller has 81 patent filings and 79 peer-reviewed publications, was scientific co-founder of a recently acquired company advancing an sGC activator towards Phase 3 trials, and currently serves as a consultant for companies in the domains of drug development and device innovation.
