Victoria Gulick, MS
Jefferson Health

As the Medical Research Coordinator for Jefferson Health’s XR Lab, Victoria Gulick designs and implements research to validate XR technology for use in healthcare. Victoria completed two years of medical school before transitioning to pursue her master’s in medical sciences. Those preclinical years of schooling gave her firsthand knowledge of medicine and allow her to better support both healthcare providers and students through VR simulation training. Additionally, Victoria has studied virtual reality solutions to improve the patient experience, specifically during cardiac rehabilitation and bone marrow biopsies. She previously presented at the first International Conference on Human Interaction and Emerging Technologies (IHIET) in 2019 on the effects of virtual reality on medical students’ comprehension, retention of information, and motivation to learn. Victoria is a firm believer in validating the benefits of virtual medicine and is passionate about advancing the healthcare community’s understanding of XR technology.
