Study participants receive guided VR sessions and wearable devices to support pain management.
Who may be eligible?
You may qualify to participate if the following statements describe you. The eligibility questionnaire will confirm additional details.
- You are 18 or older, seeking support with pain management, and have regular email access on a computer or smartphone.
- You have been diagnosed with a gastrointestinal cancer such as anal, appendix, bile duct, colon, gastric, liver, pancreas, peritoneum, rectum, small intestine, neuroendocrine, or other listed tumors with no plan for resection during the study period.
What to expect
The study does not require extra medical visits. Participants complete weekly surveys and receive technology to support their at-home sessions.
- Complete a brief screening to confirm eligibility, then collaborate with your physician to verify medical information before enrollment.
- Report GI pain levels once per week over the two-month study period using our secure digital surveys.
- Receive a VR headset and Fitbit Luxe after each week of completed surveys. All equipment is provided at no cost and must be returned at the end of participation.
- Qualify for up to $225 in Amazon gift card codes as a thank-you for completing study milestones.
